Heard Capital is a long-only investment firm focused on identifying high-conviction investment opportunities in the financials, industrials, technology, telecommunications and media (TMT) sectors.
The firm was founded in 2011 and currently manages approximately $2 billion in assets (as of January 1, 2025) on behalf of our investors. Our investor base consists of leading endowments, foundations, pensions and select family offices.
Our High Conviction Long-Only strategy takes a multi-year, fundamental and concentrated approach to public equity investment opportunities.
We invest in companies that we believe provide long- term solutions to key sector level debates. We focus on companies that we believe possess a durable moat, demonstrate clear alignment of interests with shareholders and maintain a strong “say-to-do” ratio, but are misunderstood by market participants, resulting in the potential for profitable growth and compounding of capital in any environment.
Our differentiated investment process results in a factor-agnostic portfolio which we believe is designed to outperform market benchmarks over the long term.
The Credit Opportunity strategy will seek to provide capital to and partner with middle-market businesses that we believe are misunderstood or viewed as being overly complex by the broader market.
While many participants run market screens or focus on relative value, the Credit Opportunity strategy will employ a debate-driven process to identify select opportunities across private and public credit that we believe provide attractive risk-adjusted returns. The strategy will seek to minimize downside risk through disciplined underwriting and a strict focus on opportunities within the Firm’s domain expertise.
